چکیده
Pertrochanteric fractures (PFs) are life threatening due to the prolonged immobilization of elderly patient that affects, indirectly, function most organs. PFs may have an impact on symmetry human body and contribute poor global alignment. The aim study is evaluate functional, pedobarographic radiological outcomes in a group subjects with treated either dynamic hip screw (DHS) or intramedullary gamma nail fixation. A 40 patients, admitted hospital for pertrochanteric between 2015 2019, at mean age 74.87 (range 65–99), were enrolled. control included 20 free from significant disorders musculoskeletal system any other might induce compensatory abnormal gait pattern. Functional results assessed by Harris Hip Score, plantar pressure distribution arch index measured examination. Radiographic parameters based preoperative postoperative standing AP pelvic radiographs axial projection hip. obtained evaluated 9-month follow-up. showed no difference both groups within scope variables under study. To sum up, surgical treatment, DHS fixation, rehabilitation treatment support system. However, full return was not achieved follow-up compared group.

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...
Primary hemiarthroplasty for treatment of unstable pertrochanteric femoral fractures (AO/OTA Type 31 A2.3) in elderly osteoporotic patients
INTRODUCTION The aim of this study was to prospectively analyze the role of primary hemiarthroplasty in unstable osteoporotic pertrochanteric fractures (AO/OTA Type 31 A2.3), with emphasis given to postoperative Functional Independent Measure (FIM) and Harris Hip Score (HHS). METHODS Fifty-six consecutive patients (average age 78.25 ± 5.45), out of which 24 males (79.29 ± 4.99) and 32 females...

Effect of Teriparatide on Unstable Pertrochanteric Fractures
We retrospectively analyzed the radiographic and clinical outcomes of unstable pertrochanteric fractures (AO/OTA 31-A2) in 44 patients who underwent dynamic hip screw (DHS) fixation and compared the results with 29 patients who received teriparatide in addition to DHS fixation. A significantly shorter time for fracture healing was recorded in the teriparatide-treated group than in the control g...
